• An objective at the top with an overused phrase like "Seeking a job where I can grow to my full potential and advance as quickly as possible". (minus 5)
• Your skills listed in a bulleted fashion? (add 5)
• A Career Profile section that focuses on your skills? (add 10)
• Part-time jobs listed that are over ten years old. (minus 5)
• Alll of your hobbies listed  even though they are not related to your career pursuit in any way? (minus 5) 

Did you:

• List your accomplishments in your current and last job using numbers and showing problems you solved? (add 10)
• Clearly show how your skills relate or will translate to the job you're seeking? (add 10)
• Use the words "responsible for" or "duties included"? (minus 10)
• Use action verbs? (add 10)
• Explain in detail why you left your former job? (minus 5)
• Check and double check for typos? (add 5)
• Have a friend who's a good speller check for typos (add another 5)
• Make sure your political and church affiliations are specified? (minus 5) There is one exception and this is if you're applying for a job at a political or religious organization.

50 points - Great job!! You're on your way to a lot of interviews. Get that resume sent to the right people.

40 points - Good. But making a few adjustments will make your resume even better.
